Dr. Roger J. Daldrup is a psychologist from Tucson, Arizona, USA. Since 1962 he has been a member of the faculty of the University of Arizona, where he was Professor of Counseling and Guidance.
He has also practiced privately and has worked with thousands of men and women over the past 25 years. Dr. Roger J. Daldrup has organized hundreds of therapy groups at the University of Arizona and in other organizations, as well as workshops and therapeutic meetings for individuals, couples, and groups in Arizona, and by invitation, in other states of the USA.
Many other psychologists, social workers, and counselors have been trained by him in the specific principles of anger therapy. He has responded to invitations from universities in Hawaii, England, Belgium, and Greece to organize workshops to learn about the therapy. He has also returned to these countries after new invitations, as well as to Ireland.
Dr. Roger J. Daldrup believes that psychotherapy, as an exclusively verbal activity, has long had nothing more to offer. That is why anger therapy places more emphasis on experiencing experiences than on discussing experiences. It is based on action rather than on discussion – on active action rather than analysis.
In recent years, until he stopped teaching at the University of Arizona in 1988, he was the head of research programs at the university’s Department of Medicine, which concerned the connection between repressed anger and illness.
Since he stopped teaching at the University of Arizona, he has traveled to various parts of Europe and the United States, where he trains professionals who want to use his therapeutic model in their work with their clients
